Nathan is a versatile musician who has over 10 years of experience teaching a variety of instruments to students of all ages. He is especially passionate about teaching piano, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and music composition. He specializes in teaching classical, pop/rock, and improvisation styles. Nathan shapes the way he teaches each student around their personal interests and learning style, helping them achieve their goals through the songs that excite them! 

Nathan’s love of music started when he was very young; he started his musical journey with piano and voice lessons, and then somehow convinced his parents to get him a drum set. He quickly got involved in musical theater, choir, and band in school, which led to his decision to continue studying music.

At Westmont College, he solidified his love of writing music through theory and composition challenges and a semester abroad in Germany experiencing music history firsthand. He graduated with a bachelors degree in music with emphasis in theory and composition. After graduation, his professional endeavors have included being music director for various musical theater productions, an accompanist, and a performer in over 20 different bands, spanning nearly every genre from folk to pop to rock.  He is also an internationally performed composer, a producer, and a songwriter who has written and released a full studio album.
