Piano & Voice Instructor

A lifelong musician, Liz began voice and piano lessons in early childhood right here in Austin, Texas. Since then, music has been a constant source of joy and a steadying force in her life. As a performer, she has more than 15 years of professional experience, having performed throughout the country and abroad.

She pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a specialization in Voice from The University of Texas. While at UT, Liz performed with a number of choral and early music ensembles around the city. In 2015, she relocated to Bloomington, Indiana, to pursue her Masters of Music in Voice from Indiana University. While there, she began performing and studying the operatic repertoire. By the time she graduated from IU, she had performed in many operas there, in addition to performing around the country in summer music festivals. She began teaching private voice lessons and group classes while in graduate school.

In 2022, she relocated once again, moving to New York City. While in New York, she performed with the opera company Teatro Nuovo and made her Lincoln Center debut in the summer of 2023. While based in New York, she also spent a performance season with the Indianapolis Opera, and performed roles in Bizet’s Carmen, Charlie Parker’s Yardbird, and A Little Night Music by Stephen Sondheim. In the last year, she performed as a recitalist in New York and sang the role of Musetta in Puccini’s La bohème in Trani, Italy.

Throughout her time in New York, Liz maintained an active private studio at a music school in Brooklyn, where she taught voice and piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. She now has more than 7 years of experience teaching voice and piano.

As a teacher, Liz’s primary goal is to approach each student according to their individual needs and goals. She works to ensure that her students are not only appropriately challenged but, most importantly, that they are enjoying their lessons and developing a lifelong love of music.
