Blaize Oswald
Guitar & Piano Instructor
Blaize Oswald is a guitarist, pianist, producer, and music educator born and raised in Austin, Texas (in Westlake). He started playing guitar at age 4 and piano at age 6, and spent his early years throughout high school studying jazz and classical music while always keeping blues and rock at the center of what he practiced and loved at home.
Blaize graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production and Engineering. Alongside teaching, he’s an active gigging musician and works as a producer and mixer for artists around the country, bringing real-world experience from the stage and the studio into every lesson.
With five years of teaching experience, Blaize tailors his approach to each student’s goals, age, and skill level. For younger students, he often uses books to build strong fundamentals and steady progress. For teens and adults, he’ll sometimes use books, but most of the time he prefers to teach through the music students genuinely care about, learning favorite songs and studying the “how” and “why” behind what makes great players sound the way they do. He also encourages stylistic variety to keep students engaged while expanding their musical vocabulary. Blaize teaches because he loves helping people experience the joy of making music!
